about THE ride

​An 82 mile challenging bicycle ride, from Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis to Wagners Village Inn, in Oldenburg with proceeds benefiting the Prader Willi Foundation.

The 2nd Annual Chicken Run bicycle ride starts on the circle at the Columbia Club with coffee and snacks available at on-site registration. There is a parking garage at the corner of New Jersey and Market that offers parking all day for $8.

We will travel southeast out of Indy with Sag stops in Wannamaker, Shelbyville, St. Paul and Greensburg, Once we leave Greensburg we will head east towards our destination in Oldenburg, Indiana - The Wagner’s Village Inn, for Family style fried chicken and German Beers. There will be photo opportunities at the courthouse with a tree in Greensburg and at the covered bridge on nine mile road. The route is mainly flat with a few rolling hills on the last leg of the ride. See route map for details.
 
There will be a ride shirt available for purchase for preregistered participants and transportation back to Indy for bicycles and participants that need it. There will be a sag vehicle on the route and bicycle mechanic at most SAG locations.
 
Families are welcome to join us for dinner in Oldenburg but must be listed on registration.
